Background:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to fill a critical position as a Cyber Security and Digital Workplace and support the Cloud Programme. This Programme will enable the Bank to innovate its services and ways of working, and protect the sustainability of its IT security, by leveraging advanced hybrid cloud services.

This will provide employees a premium experience across the portfolio of devices based on Windows 11, enabling work from anywhere at the highest level of security.

This is a project-based role. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and efficiency of digital workplaces, particularly focusing on Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) and related Microsoft/Azure security tools.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Ensuring the security and efficiency of digital workplaces, particularly focusing on Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) and related Microsoft/Azure security tools.

Contributing to the robustness of the organization's security infrastructure (implementation and mastery of WDAC).

Collaborating effectively with various teams within the organization.

Deliver Security Solutions, designing and implementing Microsoft/Azure security tooling, with a focus on delivering complex technical security projects in a layered operational environment. This will involve navigating and addressing the challenges associated with large corporate environments.

Must haves:

Minimum 7 years of experience in System Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar security roles, showcasing a track record of successfully architecting, designing, and engineering security solutions across large environments ideally in a heavily regulated security environment (eg Pharma, insurance, finance etc.) (*)

A deep understanding and hands-on experience with Windows Defender Application Control WDAC. This involves both the implementation and mastery of WDAC, contributing to the robustness of the organization's security infrastructure. (*)

Broad technical knowledge, encompassing Windows Defender, and other relevant tools. The candidate is expected to be well-versed in best practices for infrastructure deployment, change release procedures, and industry standards. (*)

Experience with security stack on endpoint, Windows defender, Firewalls, Intune, hybrid on-prem and in cloud (*)

Interpersonal skills:

Excellent stakeholder management skills

The candidate should be adept at communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborating effectively with various teams within the organization.

Nice to have:

While not mandatory, additional experience with escalation of permissions solutions (especially implementing Intune endpoint privilege management) and migrating from BeyondTrust privilege management is considered advantageous.

Working Set Up: Hybrid, (50% home office, 50% in the office)
